How it plays
The next step up, without giving up control.
A hybrid EVA core adds bite, while the textured face grips the ball for controlled spin. The forward 265mm balance carries the head through the shot, and the round shape keeps the sweet spot wide and forgiving.
- Sweet spotWideOff-centre hits still go where you meant.
- FeelBalancedEnough give to feel it, enough bite to finish.
- HandlingBalancedQuick enough to react, heavy enough to drive.
Soft, earthy, easy to live with.
Sage is a soft, earthy tone with graffiti-style Farrellys lettering across the face. It’s the café-interior palette the Neutrals were drawn from, at its most relaxed — calm, natural and very easy to live with.

Suits players who have started shaping shots, brushing up the back of the ball for topspin or cutting under it for slice, and want the racket to answer.

What does a Playtomic rating mean?
Playtomic is the app many clubs use to book courts and find a game, and it gives every player a level from 0 to 7. Sage is built for players rated 1.5 – 2.65.
Not on Playtomic, or not sure where you sit? Take the quiz and we’ll point you at the right racket.
What do EVA, balance and fibreglass actually mean?
EVA is the foam core inside the face. Soft EVA gives more, so the ball comes off easily and it’s kind on the arm. Hard EVA is firmer and gives back more power when you hit hard.
Balance is where the weight sits, measured in millimetres from the bottom of the handle. Around 255mm is head light and quick in the hand; around 275mm is head heavy, with more power through the swing.
Fibreglass faces flex more, for a softer, more forgiving feel. Carbon faces are stiffer, for more pop and precision.
